Sarah Vaughan
Sarah Vaughan (1924-1990) was an American singer, considered one of the most outstanding and versatile voices in the history of jazz and popular music. Known as "Sassy" for her sophisticated style and incredible vocal range, Vaughan mastered several musical genres, including jazz, blues, and classical music.
Throughout her career, Vaughan worked with jazz greats such as Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, and Miles Davis, and her ability to improvise and express emotion made her one of the most respected and admired singers in music. Her interpretation of songs such as Misty, Body and Soul, and Lullaby of Birdland cemented her as one of the great legends of jazz.
