Oscar Peterson
Oscar Peterson (1925-2007) was a Canadian pianist and composer, considered one of the greatest virtuosos in the history of jazz. With an impressive technique and an unmatched swing, his style combined influences from bebop, blues and classical music.
Throughout his career, he recorded more than 200 albums and collaborated with figures such as Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong and Dizzy Gillespie. His trio, with Ray Brown on double bass and Ed Thigpen on drums, is considered one of the best in the history of jazz.
Some of his most celebrated records include Night Train and We Get Requests. His legacy lives on as a symbol of pianistic excellence and musical sensitivity.
